Who We Are

The Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that collaborates with local partners to support a broad array of charitable causes in our store communities, including: food insecurity, homelessness, veterans, child welfare, animal rescue, and healthcare services. During times of humanitarian crisis, the foundation’s focus broadens to provide emergency medical supplies, hygienic products, clothing and food for those in need, both domestic and abroad.

Wicked Fishing for Vets Event

On October 15th, the Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation brought U.S. veterans together with alumni from the New England Patriots and Boston Bruins for an unforgettable Wicked Fishing for Vets event! Participants enjoyed an exciting deep-sea fishing excursion across nine Wicked Tuna vessels, capped off with a wonderful luncheon at the Gloucester House. Proceeds raised directly benefited the Foundation's Operation Sleep Well initiative, equipping transitioning veterans with crucial move-in kits filled with brand-new bedding, towels, and personal care necessities.

RI State Police’s Kids, Cops and Classrooms Initiative

The OSJL Charitable Foundation is once again a proud partner of the Rhode Island State Police for the Kids, Cops, and Classrooms initiative. The program is designed to ease the financial strain on local families, and the statewide effort gathers essential school supplies and backpacks for students in need.

Community Spotlight – Saugus, MA

Recently, our Saugus, MA store was spotlighted in the Reading, MA Food Pantry’s monthly newsletter. The store has partnered with the Reading Food Pantry, where a volunteer comes to the store every other week to pick up food donations. They donate snacks, dried fruits, cereal, drinks, pasta, and sauces from their Feed for Free bin. Well done, Saugus!
