Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation

Who We Are

The Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that collaborates with local partners to support a broad array of charitable causes in our store communities, including: food insecurity, homelessness, veterans, child welfare, animal rescue, and healthcare services. During times of humanitarian crisis, the foundation’s focus broadens to provide emergency medical supplies, hygienic products, clothing and food for those in need, both domestic and abroad.

Sleep Well Kits Distributed

Last week, a group of Rocky Hill Country Day School students came to the Distribution Center to fill Sleep Well kits for the OSJL Charitable Foundation. They packed 500 kits with essentials for veterans in need. They will be distributed from Maine to Maryland through ten different stops. This year, we included additional items geared especially to help women veterans.

Buy-Give-Get Baby Formula Program

A new Buy-Give-Get program has kicked off! Customers can buy one or more cans of high-quality Kabrita baby formula for $20 each at the register.  There’s no limit to how many cans you can purchase. We’ll give the formula to families in need, and the customer gets a Crazy Deal Gift Card equal to their purchase!

Cape May, NJ Donation

Recently, our store in Cape May, NJ, made a donation of two $100 Ocean State Job Lot gift cards to The Branches Outreach, a local nonprofit whose mission is to provide essential services such as food, clothing, showers, and personal care items to individuals experiencing homelessness, poverty, and crisis. They work to provide help with dignity and respect.

A strong community enriches us all. At Ocean State Job Lot, we prioritize our giving to target organizations, programs and events which we believe are consistent with our focus areas, and present an opportunity where our support can have the greatest impact.

The Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation has developed programs to support individuals and families in the communities where our stores are located as well as other nonprofit organizations and the important work they do.
